Back to School!
hello everyone! So school has started back for most households here. As I surf around Facebook I see all these sweet smiling faces of the eager and not so eager kids taking their first day of school pictures. I have my own flash backs to the days of of butterflys and anticipation for what the year would bring. Being an observer and often times quiet and shy kid I would worry about little things, like will I know anyone in my class, do I remember my class schedule or my locker combination, does my outfit look cool enough, will I survive the work load. It’s like you start out with this clean slate of endless possibilities but for me I knew it would be an up hill battle of late night studying and cramming for tests. Oh boy how I do not miss those first day of school jitters. Although somedays I do miss college.
Being that it’s only been 4 short years since I had my last first day of school at the University of Alabama (ROLL TIDE), I will confess I wake up some days thinking, ‘oh my gosh I am late for class!’ or ‘did I finish my homework assignment in Calculus?’ I am sure everyone can relate with their own back to school stories. As for my husband it was the best day of the year for him, he loved school! And for me the only thing that would get me through the day was seeing him at my lockers after every class in high school. That’s the thing about being high school sweethearts, you have a support system thats rich and based through the adolescent years on into adulthood. Now that we are a little more grown up I am much more pleasant in the mornings because I have a passion for the work I do and a love for my beautiful life.
